To the Extreme : It's a Shame that We Had to Remove Liberty's Head

There is an early issue of Todd McFarlane’s Spawn that began with an extreme close-up of the eye of a fly and zoomed out until we see that the fly is on the doughnut that is being eaten by the police detective, Sam. Trent Kaniuga used a similar zoom out in Creed and ever since those sequences, I’ve been itching to do one specific sequence that mimicked the opening and closing of one’s eyes while swinging back and forth on a swing. I wrote that idea in an Ungoodwise story many years ago and it’s unlikely that I will ever use it, so this sequence of Diabla peering at Captain Evil as she wakes up may be the closest I ever get to that original idea.
